State and Territory Roadshows

We will be travelling around Australia throughout 2024 visiting every capital city as well as regional locations to engage with industry leaders, specialists, managers and educators in the care and support sectors. We invite you to:

  • Provide insights on workforce and training challenges and opportunities within our industries
  • Participate in sector-specific breakout sessions to inform workforce planning and training package development
  • Contribute to discussions that will highlight emerging cross-cutting themes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and shape the future of your industry.

HumanAbility National Forum

In November 2023, HumanAbility hosted its inaugural National Forum at Australian Parliament House across two action-packed days where 200 leaders gathered to unpack and debate the challenges and opportunities currently facing our industries. The insights and learnings from the National Forum were used to help shape workforce planning and strategy.

In August 2024, HumanAbility will host its second National Forum at Old Parliament House in Canberra. The event will be tailored for CEO, Chairs and leaders of industry and focus on emerging themes and cross cutting trends impacting our sectors.

Industry Advisory Committees and Technical Advisory Groups 

Our Industry Advisory Committees have been established to steward key industry plans and projects, while ensuring comprehensive tripartite stakeholder consultation and engagement. The full list of IAC membership is found here.

IACs for each of the following subsectors will meet for the first time in March 2024:

  • Aged Care and Disability Support
  • Children’s Education and Care
  • Health
  • Human (Community) Services
  • Sport and Recreation

Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) will be established to support project-based activities and the work of the IACs. Stay tuned for more information regarding the establishment of HumanAbility’s TAGs.
